Privacy Policy

Who we are

KNY Industries ("KNY", "we") provides websites, Google Business Profile setup, domain and email, design, monthly care plans and Google Ads management for local businesses. We are based in Southern California. Questions about privacy: chris.b@knyindustries.com.

What we collect

• Contact and estimate requests: your name, business name, email, phone and the message you send us.
• Orders and projects: the services you choose, the business details you give us for the work (hours, services, address, social links and similar) and any notes.
• Files you upload: logos, photos, videos and documents for your project.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive the amount, the services paid, your email and billing name. We never see or store your full card or bank account number.
• Partner (seller) accounts: name, seller code, contact details, an encrypted PIN and an optional profile photo.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends (such as IP address and browser type) used for security, preventing abuse and keeping the site working. Our visitor statistics are cookie-free and do not identify you.

How we use it

To reply to you, prepare estimates, do the work you ordered, take payments, send receipts and project updates, pay our partners their commission, keep our records, protect the site and our customers, and improve our services. We do not use your information for advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run KNY, and only as needed: Stripe (payments and billing), Cloudflare (hosting, security, database and file storage), Web3Forms (delivering form messages to our inbox), Google Workspace (our email) and, if your order includes it, the Google services we set up for you. If you were referred by a KNY partner, that partner sees your name, contact details, order status and amounts so they can help you. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies and similar technology

We use one essential cookie (kny_s) only when a partner or administrator signs in, to keep that session secure. Your browser also stores a few preferences on your device, such as whether you have seen the intro or dismissed the cookie notice. We use privacy-friendly visitor statistics from Cloudflare that do not use cookies and do not track you across websites. We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records as long as needed for our business and tax records. Uploaded files are removed from our cloud storage after your project is finished (we keep a working copy on KNY systems to support your project). You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records the law requires us to keep.

Your rights (including California)

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask us anything about your data. To make a request, email chris.b@knyindustries.com from the address you used with us. We will confirm your request and respond within 45 days.

Security

We protect information with encrypted connections, private file storage, encrypted secrets, hashed sign-in tokens and PINs, two-step verification for administrators, and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will tell you if a breach affects you as the law requires.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

If we change this policy, we will update the date below and, for important changes, let our customers know.
